Yoto Limiter

How to stop a Yoto player at bedtime

A child who wakes at 5 a.m. can start a story on their own. Yoto Limiter watches the player through Yoto's cloud and pauses it outside the hours you choose, even when you are not in the room.

What you need

Set a bedtime

  1. Open the app, choose the player and go to Settings.
  2. Switch on Allowed hours.
  3. Set the times the player may be used, for example 07:00 to 19:30. Outside them it is paused.
  4. Save.

Nothing needs installing on the player. From then on, if it plays after 19:30 it is paused within a few seconds, and paused again if your child presses play.

More than one window

A day can have up to four windows, for example a morning one and an afternoon one with a quiet hour in between. An end that is earlier than the start runs past midnight.

A later bedtime at the weekend

Tick Different hours on some days and give each weekday its own windows. A day with no windows is open all day, whatever the other days say, so leaving Friday and Saturday empty means no bedtime on those nights.

Let the story finish

By default the player is paused the moment bedtime arrives, even mid-story. Turn on Finish the current track when time is up to pause at the end of the track instead. It never plays more than 15 minutes past bedtime: a longer track is paused then. Anything started after the pause is paused at once.
